Dear Jan

Dear Jan,
Thank you for the reply, copied out below.  I hope you had a great holiday.

I will try to take your sound and wise advice.

Just one thing, what did you find amusing on the blog posted on 14 September?  (Location, location, location).  Was it Mount Ararat?   (Don't answer that one, Jan. xxx" says Ruth)

Dear Tim
Firstly sorry for delay but just got back from holiday. Well I'm not sure I qualify to answer as I have been married 38 years and Chris still doesn't listen to me, but he pretends by nodding and making funny noises which is his attempts at enthusiasm. What us girls REALLY NEED is eye contact. Big beady eyed eye contact. Even raised eyebrows if you can manage it! Just try it and watch Ruth's delight! Xx

Today's question for you,....

Dear Jan,
Ruth still is not keen on letting me go shopping on my own in Walmart, or to go swimming on my own in the sea.
And when we walk into town, she insists on holding my hand.
Do you think she is being a tad unreasonable? Or am I just being a bit paranoid?

Tim.

Sorry again for the delay. Getting through all my 'dear jan' letters is quite overwhelming! Firstly, it's a woman's instinct to protect and I'm afraid all those situations you list are quite dangerous. Ruth is a loving and caring person as well as wise. Men of a certain age have been known to fall on pavements so of course she would hold your hand. Swimming on your own - well that's obvious - SHARKS! As for shopping on your own, well that's downright dangerous!!!! What a loving wife you have Tim. Xxxx
