Tallahassee

Ron & Cecile have been so very kind to us and made us feel so totally welcome here in USA.  They kindly put us up at their home in Tallahassee, complete with the Union Flag, and Stars and Stripes.
We met the family and went for breakfast at Walluka Spring.  What a breakfast!
I was unsure about having "grits".  Grits sounded like something to put on the road when it's icy.  Not something one eats.  It's a bit like porridge.  A bit like mashed potato.  And a bit like rice pudding.
We ate grits with southern fried chicken, eggs anyway you liked, and toast.  We didn't eat for the rest of the day!  And we had the leftovers of the chicken the next day for lunch.
My ideal American house. A verandah and a rocking chair!  Perfection.
