Sherando Lake

After the shenanigans with the bear last night, we had a bit of a rough night, so we decided to stay another day at Sherando Lake Recreation Area, in the George Washington National Forest.
Three reasons, .....
One, we were a bit tired still.
Two, there was a distinct possibility for Tim that he might get to see the bear of last night.
Three, We hadn't really had a look around the beautiful park, and the facilities here, and Tim could swim in the lake.  (Ruth is a bit of a woosie when it comes to swimming in lakes, -scared of slimy things underfoot).
So we spent a lovely day, cycling round the park, and (Tim) swimming in the lake while Ruth sunbathed.
There are two lakes.  One for fishing.....

And one for swimming and boating,....

A glorious place to camp.  Absolutely picture perfect.
The water in the lake was lovely, by the way!
Tim spent a happy half-hour fixing the gears on his bike, while Ruth got the dinner on.
I just want to point out on this picture, that the bear came out of the woods right behind my behind!
